mxl v63m stdod 2013-11-26

I just noticed that the MXL v63m is the stupid deal of the day today (nov 26, 2013) for $60. At musician's friend - I won't put a link because tomorrow it will be a bad link, such is the nature of the stdod.

I have never used one, and I'm not gonna get one, and I don't really like the other mxl mics I have, but it seems like this particular mic has a decent rep for what it is, and that's pretty cheap

Transformerless so ya gotta crank it way up making it noisy.

I'm picking one up for grins. I've been happy with the MXL's I've had, curious to see how this compares.

They've been cheaper. A few years back I even picked up four of the V63M-BP (phantom or optional internal battery) either from a MF-SDOTD offering or a MF general mic sale for ~$35 each. Still, not a bad deal.
