The Mxl V67

is recommended quite often around here. I personally don't own one and have never used one but it can be had for under 100 dollars and seems to be backed by alot of people.

I think both the Marshall MXL603S and MXLV67 are very good microphones.

Marshall MXL603 - $75 cool for drum overheads and acoustic guitar amongst other things

Marshall MXLv67G- $89 great on certain voices

Marshall MXLv93M(same as 2003) - $99 great on certain voices

i havent heard the MXL990 but its gotten great reviews from people here

Who has the V69 for $89 now? Thats a good deal. Shockmount too?

v69 for 89? No way... mabye you mean the v67? v69 is a tube...which apparently has at least two versions, now, after looking at micguys...

I have MXLV67B and a MXL603 and really like both Mic's. I Use the 603 on drum overheads mostly and as instrument mic, but I do alot of direct recording with Guitar and Bass and I use the V67B on vocals quite a bit. I really like both mics quite a bit, as a matter of fact for the price you pay for of these Mic's to add to your collection I don't see how you can go wrong.

I have a Marshall MXL990 and IMO, it's a great guitar amp mic, and I think Harvey said he likes the MXL990 for some hard rock type vocalist.

I have one mxl990 too. I think it is a pretty good mic for vocals, guitar amps, and drums. Good one for the price.
