MX200 Lexicon Vs. M300 TC

Anyone heard one of these MX200's yet? I'm trying to decide between it and the TC M300. I like the TC stuff and their highend stuff is a little tech overboard so I think I should be happy with this unit to start off. I'm looking for something I can use in a hard wired setup (remember when the signal came from a recorder to a board to be mixed and you'd move faders with your hands?). Also as a live vocal effects unit that can be tweaked on the fly onstage without stopping the show to cycle through endless menus.

Any advice is welcome.

the M300 makes a zippery-type noise when you tweak....

That is not normal. Mine doesn't do that. Sounds like a wordclock issue.
 
For rich texture and quality I would go with the TC 300 and maybe add the MX200 later. I use the TC M-One which is pretty similar to the TC 300 and also have the MX200.

The 200 is very bright however when I want deep authentic spaces the frequency range on the M1 is vastly superior. So I would recommend the TC 300. They actually compliment each other extremely well.

What kind of mixer is it hooked up to and how is it connected?
 
i've only used the M300, but its very good - was a huge step up from the reverb on my amp, as well as the free plugins i used to use for reverb when i was recording.

i don't know what type of music you're playing, but i especially like the delay - you can set it to like a continous delay, that doesn't stop - you can create some pretty awesome textures and things with that :)

i can't say anything about the other one, but i don't think you'd be disapointed with the M300.

soundcraft ghost...aux 3/4 back to channels 27/28! doubful it's that causing anything...but who knows...and thanks for the help...

studio is closed this week...i'll have to scope it out next week...

Have had the MX200 for a couple of months and very happy with it. The software works well and the unit sounds really good. Midi sync is solid and no encoder noise (the zipper sound). I was torn between the 300 and the MX and I went with the Lexicon (mostly due to the software, I do alot of automation on my effects) but from what I hear, they are just different sounding

I would agree, at least in that price range. But go up just a bit in cost and you get to another level. For example - Kurzweil Rumour, TC M2000, Lexicon 550.
 
has the M300 been completely replaced by the M350???

I could have sworn i saw the M300's down to $150 somewhere, but now it seems nobody is carrying them (online anyway)

I was thinking with them down to that, there would be NO reason for me not to buy both the MX200 AND the M300 for a full pallette to last me a decade or so ...

whats the difference in the M350? Just copying the "use as vst plug-in" thing or what?
 
Yes I am very pleased with the TC Electronic M300.
I think the reverbs are natural sounding.
Fantastic for the price.

There is very little reviews on the M350 and someone mentioned here that they hoped that the quailty of the M350 has'nt dropped since they have added the USB.

Has anyone done a comparison? It could weel be slightly better.
