As long as you're facing away from your amp you should be okay feed back wise.
If you want to control the feedback just angle yourself towards the cranked amp and find a sweetspot, infinite sustain baby!

haha awesome, oh man im gonna have fun with that.

i just e-mailed music 123 about how their artcore is overpriced and now they are offering it to me for 360.

sounds like a buyer.

With no disrespect, I understand them perfectly. I know all about the so-called "fixes" to make them stay in tune less badly.

They will always have tuning problems, which means that all other things being equal, they will always be harder to get in tune and harder to keep in tune compared to a solid stopbar tailpiece, for reasons that are obvious to any engineer or reasonably bright layman. You described the exact main (though not only) problem with them when you said what happens when you break a string. That's just the grossest manifestation of the basic problem that's going on all the time you play.

If you don't believe me, ask Dan Erlewine or other legitimate guitar maintenace guru, and you should see the rigmarole he goes through to get a vintage-style Fender vibrato set up for minimum tuning problems, which he admits will never be fully eliminated because of the very nature of the device.

When people say they have gang-strung, floating vibratos that don't have tuning problems, what they mean is that they don't notice them or can live with them, or they're not as bad after tweaking the setup. The tuning problems will show up on a good tuner.

What percentage discount does that represent? As many, many people have pointed out, only a mook ever pays more than 60% of MSRP for an axe. Personally, I can only think of one time when I paid that much.

I think the reason I've never seriously considered the Artcore basses (I don't like the Artcore guitars I've seen) is that you can't seem to get a long deal on one. Apparently demand exceeds supply or something. Discount is around 20% off, which is ridiculous.

so if i goto guitar center and they order the turquoise one for me, could i talk them down to like 320?

Not if they have to order it, unless they have one at another store or something.

They hate special orders.

well i hate them. haha.

i think im just gonna go back and forth between musicians friend and music 123 saying they have the lower price haha. lets see how this goes
