Here's a little remake I did of Mustang Sally, the old classic. I thought my back vocals were not bad though I'm no singer..

Any comments appreciated, thanks!

Hmm, was that song in a Shrek movie? I don't know, I've never seen any of them..

Hi schenkerguy,
Sounds good to me man, your vocals sound better than mine!:D I used to play this song when I played in bar bands. It always went over good. Your recording is good, very clear. I think you've done a good job!!!!

i like it, but i think the playing and singing could have been a bit more aggressive and energetic. it sounds to happy and relaxed to me. the over all sound is great tho. im just not a huge fan of teh auto tune on the back up vox, or what ever that effect is :P its hard for me to tell :) over all, well done

There's no Autotune, the back vocals are 6 tracks of me doing 3 part harmonies. There's a little compression and EQ..

Thanks for the comments!

I always had it in the back of my mind to do this song as a cover. However, I don't think I can top this.... :o :D

I like everything except the lead vocals. I wish there was a little more grit to it, a little more life, a little more soul. As it is now, sounds kind of... perfected.

Everything else is well played, well arranged, well mixed. Well, it just sounds great.

Thanks for sharing. :)

I too like everything but the lead vocal.. :) If I had a gritty soulfull vocalist I'd happily let him take over, but..

The song sat around on the Artist Collaboration website for a couple of months but nobody would do a vocal! As usual it was "I better sing it.. or trash it.."

This sounds pretty good, but you castrated the song. This is a soul song. It's gotta have feeling and power. This is lacking emotion and edge. It's not entirely your fault though. This song is super popular and been done a million times. I'd just like it a lot dirtier.

The mix sounds good. There's something about the snare I don't like, but I can't quite pinpoint what it is. It sounds a little fat. Personally, I think a tighter, maybe more compressed snare sound would fit better.
