Musicman Stingray or Fender Deluxe?

I have a Stingray that a guy wants to trade me for his Fender Deluxe......

Any advice on what I should do.....I love my Stingray, but I always liked Fender basses.....

Pros/Cons/etc. Thanks guys.

What foo said: some Fenders are better than others, MusicMan is a more stable product.

+ 'my' humble opinion: I had a Fender Mexico (active five string type) and the electronics where kind of wack. No headroom, the pickups distorted very quickly.
The Stingray on the other hand ... headroom for days, even on your low B.

BTW: what kind of MM and Fender ? (year, type, finish, condition)

I would contend that you should own both. I have a fender jazz and a stingray.

Nothing gets that stingray sound. the fender gives me the abilty to go passive which is perfect for DI recording.

if you have to only have one, and you pick the fender, get some cash in the trade as the music man is worth more IMHO.

I LOVE Music Man basses, so warm and slinky...
