I can only pick one?
I couldn't really find mine on there, so I chose the next closest thing: Classical.
I prefer to call my style "Neo-Classical" though. :p

From what I have heard I would label you more Neo-Romantic. You use lush melodies and thick texture. Like Debussy maybe, although he was considered Impressionistic I believe. A little music dork coming out in me tonite!

Beez

Thanks Michael,
I've heard your music and I know what you mean with Neo-Classical. Your music is real high standard!!!

Hans

Contemporary Christian....

with a Country Rock flavor.

Dom;)

Should've been a multiple choice poll, but I went with Jazz.

Thanks Beez, hrn. Yeah, I've been compared to Debussy before. I must say that although I do like his compositions, I never really thought of him as a big influence in my music. Still, not bad company to be in.

all styles are:

MANDATORY

if you don't like one, you haven't heard the right shit yet. Or your mind is closed.

Oh, except lite rock. It's okay to hate on lite rock...

I record all of the above styles... plus some. :)

Why is this thread on the microphone forum?

I have a pretty open mind when it comes to music, but that over-driven, over-distorted guitar playin', while screaming at the top of your lungs out of tune, I don't have to be good, I just have to be loud, noise (music) just isn't for me.

Maybe I've just out-grown it.

I enjoy and have played many kinds of music over the years. My writing & performing style now is typically Country/Soft Rock/AC/CC.

There isn't a style of music that I haven't found something enjoyable in, but I have to look very hard in some styles :p :D

Mostly rock, if that includes southern rock, with a little blues and a twang of country to round out the package.

Whatever I happen to be working on that day is my favorite music ever... in the car you'll find CD's by 'Hank Williams' [the 1st], 'Robert Johnson', 'The Black Eyed Snakes', 'Thursday', 'NWA', 'Miles Davis', 'Steve Earle and the Dukes', and a myriad of others...

My tastes are pretty eclectic. I can listen to Irish folk tunes, Django, Uriah Heep and Wilson Pickett in the same sitting. Which is the main thing that attracts me to engineering, working with all styles of music and musicians.

As a listener, all the genres listed, with the exceptions of rap and synth.

As a singer, best suited for acoustic and harmony based popular music
like folk/rock, country/rock, or pop/rock (including old school "soul").
Heavy 50's through early 70's influenced.
