I'll be greatful if you give it a try and listen to piece of music I recently done for friend of mine. It is illustration music for computer animation which is done by friend of mine. I did the music (composed, recorded and mixed) and now he is finishing animation.

let me know what you think about the track

this is a very cool piece of music my friend!

and even though most will find that you need to change your mix (some guitars are barely hearable) i like it like this!!! it has this really nice Van Halen goes Underground sound.

do you do other stuff as well? and under which name?

Music for an animation?

Too bad you weren't around when the flintstones were being done!

The recordings sounds great and very smooth once all the instruments kick in.

The beginning sequence is a bit muddy on the pitched vocal. I cant make out a word of whats being said. Are the words important to the story? If so, fix that up a little.

Otherwise, Rock on!!

Cheers! :)

wow, sounds really good. Don't know what the animation is about, so can't picture how this tune will drive the mood. But the quality is really good, the lead guitar is low in volume, but you still managed to get it heard real well.

Good job

Al

thanks for possitive comments ! :-)

thats true - this will be redone - I've put it like this to let him (animation creator) judge if this is kind of the effect he's after.
And the text will appear on screen as well :-)

Yes - I'm currently working on independent heavy metal project under name: GRIM ( www.grimsite.com ) - I'm planning to have a demo at the beggining of 2004 and full album worked on same year.

feel free to comment more :-)

nice sounding guitars! must be some cool animation.. I heard some crackle..

I LOVED the guitar sound!! I thought it <the main crunched guitar> could have been dropped back just a shade though. Sometimes less is more.

God it rocked out loud!

wicked... and very strong. Might be a little hot and clipping occasionaly, but it sounds good enough to demo it for an evaluation for production. I guess thts what your going to do, sorta see if thats what fits the bill for this dude. Good work.

Whewww! this kicks!

Great sound. I would like to hear more power coming out of the drums. Compared to the guitar, the drums are a little wimpy. This is animation! the drums should animate as well. I may burn in hell for this, but maybe a heavy electronic sound on the drums

:D

thanks for positive feedback :-)
actually I do have this idea in mind for remix of track. I would like to do kind of electronic remix of that (in Nine Inch Nails style) when I have some time :-)

most of the mix comments I would make

have already been covered. So i will just compliment you on some nice riffing. It kind of reminds me of Carcass from the heartwork era, maybe not as aggressive playing wise. Turn that lead guitar up lol!

!Hail Poland!

Two of my favorite bands come out of Poland.

Loved the song, I don't have the ear many of these folks do, so I have NO critcisms, nor suggestions.

Grim, huh? You stole my name! Seriously though, think I've seen you in a catalog or something... somewhere I've read that band name just recently...
