music and video software

Being interested in video, too, my question is this.
Is anyone well versed enough to have a preference or suggestions on which software would be best for music and video post production?

Nothing that I know of will have the best of both worlds. I would recommend using something recommended here for mixing, I use Sonar 2 and Cool Edit Pro for audio, then take the final mixes to Premiere or After Effects for your video editing. My $.02 :D
 
Nuendo is too (that's what I use), but I'm inclined to agree with Barometer. Audio & video are 2 different animals, and your best bet (IMO) is to keep them separate. Synchronization of the 2 is handled efficiently by a good video app.
 
I'll second Tex's Vegas recommendation. It's a video app created from an audio app.
 
check out vegas dude. it is a full blown video and audio app. i didnt know that nuendo did video editing. i know there was a video track for scoring.
