I want a LynxOne card but It costs to much, and I would like to have a breakout box (or the extension cables on the LynxOne.) Does anyone recommend anything (PCI) for under $300? I have a Celeron 500, with 128MB RAM. I plan on multitracking my drum machine, bass guitar, regular guitar, and maybe vocals. And then burning it to CD. I'll most likely use Cool Edit Pro for the multitracking. Any comments greatly appreciated.

How many I/O do you need? Do yo plan on recording only a few (no more than four or maybe only two) tracks at the time and mix it all in the computer? If so, there are plenty of cards that will cut it for you.

I probably wont do much "live recording" I plan on recording the drum track, then editing it in Cool Edit Pro, then i'll record the bass track, and mix/edit it, then the guitar.. and so on... So, I dont need more than 4 inputs, but 2 would probably be fine as well. I'm looking for someting at least 24bit. The LynxOne is ideal for me but I cant afford it, so a cheaper "LynxOne" copy is what I need. Any ideas?

Thanks, I'll check it out! What do think about Event's Darla & Gina?

I haven't checked them out but I know that there are lots of people here that uses them.
