Multitracker/VST Help

Can someplease expalin to what and what the difference is between mulitracker and vst.
I downloaded the free version of drumatic and it doesnt work. I'm sure it because I dont have something I need or just not doing it right.

A vst needs a host application to enable it to work. After installing the plugin, in each track of your multitracker, you will have a selection of effects to choose from and your new vst will be in there with those
