Hello all, I have a question that I'd appreciate some opinions on.
I recently used a "Boss BR-864 8-Track Digital Studio". The thing I most liked about it was the real time effect processing. I'm used to digitally recording and I've never heard certain effects used realtime when recording. It's definently a better way to record imo.

So now I look for a way to get this done. But definently not for the 500 retail 300 ebay price tag. I'm on a reallly tight budget but I'd still like to use that method. Does anyone know of a cheaper 8 track or maybe 6 track recorder. Or could I do this digitally cheap. I enjoy the 128 track ability of CoolEdit/Adobe Audition.

I've looked all over the i-net. Most have directed me to SixStarDJ but they offer nothing like what I'm needing.

Thank You.

If your computer is up to the task of all the processing resources required for low latency real-time effects processing, you could give n-Track a try.
It offers live input processing. Cheap too, only $75 for the 24 bit version.
