Multitrack download patch bay

I am looking for a good patch bay to facilitate downloading of recordings to computer for editing. Any experienced advice would be appreciated.

a patch bay is NOT what you're looking for. a patch bay only allows oneself to easily swap wiring plans without digging into the back of the rack or console.

What you're looking for is a soundcard, basically. Something like the M-Audio Delta 1010, a Presonus Firestation, a C-Port, or Event Layla. Yes, they're rackmount, and look LIKE a patchbay, but completely different purpose. They're analog to digital/digital to analog converters (AD/DA converters), and some have built-in preamps, some don't. Some have two channels of input, some have 10.
