Hey everyone, I'm running the Delta1010LT, after some problems I have it up and running and I couldn't be happier. My next challenge is to record some live drums. I was wondering how I would multitrack the mics seperately into Adobe Audition. IE - Mic 1 = track 1, Mic 2 = Track 2. I'm running a Yamaha 10/2 mixer into the Delta. Any help getting this straight would be wonderful! Thanks for your patience.

You can use the 2 preamps on the delta for a pair of overhead or room mics. That's 2 tracks.

Plug another 4 mics into the MG10/2. It's only a 2 bus mixer but you should be able to get 4 discrete outputs using a a couple of inserts (on chanels 1 & 2 I think) and the Main Outs. Plug these into 4 more inputs on the delta.

Now assign each input to a seperate track in Audition. I don't think you'll get more than 6 with that setup though

I just got a Delta 1010lt as well, and use Cool Edit 2. What I do is right click in an empty spot in the track you want to assign the input to, and go to track properties, and in there you can select the recording and output value of that channel. How to *always* get track 1 for example to always be to the 1/2 output (or input) when opening a new session is something I haven't figured out yet though....if you even can.

What I've done in GT3 is create a project called 'Template'. In there I've assigned the correct inputs to the respective tracks. Whenever I create a new project, I just open Template, record whatever then Save As newprojectname

Thanks! I didn't even think about the two XLR inputs built into the card...good idea. I'm not sure what you mean about the buses on the mixer though. Here's a pic from musican's friend :

Maybe you can help me. I would plug the mics into the slots but how would I get seperate tracks out? There is only one main out on the mixer so I would have to premix them before sending into the card, right? Maybe I'm just not getting it. Any clarification would be most appreciated. Thanks again for the input.

The first 2 mixer channels have Inserts. Plug a 1/4" jack 1/2 way into each one and into 2 inputs of your soundcard. Pan the next 2 channels hard left and right and run the main outs into 2 more inputs on the LT
