I'm recording using a Peavey RQ 200 mixing board plugged into an eMac (OS 10.3.9). My recording program is Audacity, but I also have GarageBand if anyone has a solution for that.
Now, the RQ 200 is six track mixer. My question is simple: is there any way to have each different track on the mixer be a different track on the computer? I can achieve some level of seperatness by panning some elements right and some left, splitting the stereo track, editing, and rejoining the stereo track, but if, for example, I needed to edit just ONE element of the song, I couldn't. Can this be done? Can anyone tell me how?
All help is greatly appreciated.
