Im not quite sure where this question belongs but I have not been able to locate an answer yet. What kind of set up would I need to record multiple tracks at once but with each mic to a certain track. For example, if I am recording drums is there a way I can record the bass mic to track one, overheads to track 2, snare to track 3...ect? Up untill this point I have been doing this with my Lexicon interface which only allowd up to 4 seperate tracks to be recorded at once. What kind of hardware would I need to record more tracks at once and be able to record each mic to a seperate track?

Thank you in advance.

the Presonus FirePod, plain and simple. go to presonus.com and check it out. you can daisy chain up to 3 units creating 24 tracks to record on. i own one and i love it.

+1 for the Firepod. With the new drivers, I'm as happy as can be. And the possbility of 24 channel is also a plus, although I don't know what sample rate restrictions this has.
