Multiple takes in Cubase?

One thing I noticed in the on line Pro Tools demonstrations is how easy it is to record multiple passes of the same section and have them saved as different takes, without using up more than one track. Then, you can select which of the takes you want to use. And it plugs right into place.

Does Cubase (for Win XP PC) do this?

Well I know that Cubase SX 2 does it, but I'm not sure about the SL or SE versions. I'm still at work and I don't remember exactly how it's done, but I have done it..
 
im also on sx2, go in the preferences and select which audio cycle record mode you want. select the bit you want to cycle, turn on the cycle mode with the button on the transport bar and record
