Multiple Q10s

I need help. I've spent countless hours searching and I'm at my end. I am trying to run 2 Q10s and I think I'm missing something. I've read that you can link them together using the s/pdif connections (instead of word clock) and monitor both cards through the master card. I know both cards are working but they don't appear to be linked together. I don't know if I'm missing a setting somewhere or something not plugged in right or if I'm just an idiot. If someone can help me out I would be forever in their debt.

why link them togther? go into the prefences and select aardvark 2 or whattver. it ascts as it 16 ins instead of 8.

You have to sync them up so you don't have competing word clock timings. I use 2 Terratecs, which are synced with a cable that Terratec supplies.

The Aardvark manual says to use the word clock connection (and thats all it says about linking them) but from what I've read in the past people are using the s/pdif because the w/c won't monitor everything through the master card.
