I'm fairly new to reaper... i can do the basics of recording and such but am not sure if this is possible. Say i wanted to record to different things at the same time (i.e two different people singing into different mics.) Say 1 mic was like an sm57 and the other is a usb mic. Is there a way to arm them both? and record on different tracks? sorry if this post is confusing

asio (the low-latency drivers you WANT to use) = 1 device driver at one time.

The usb mics are really made for podcasting (internet chat radio).... get a regular interface and standard mics...

Tweak's Guide http://www.tweakheadz.com/guide.htm is a good place for you to start.

alright dang. because i remember in my first DAW (mixcraft) you could do that... so i was curious

You might be able to use both with the ASIO4ALL wrapper. You might have some timing issues though (devices not staying in sync..)

I haven't tried it myself, but it should be possible.
