Multiple inputs

I want to replace my soundcard (q10) with something similar ,
something with multiple I/O, preamps, and MIdi input

DSP24 card with a ADC/DAC2000 or ADC/DAC3000. The first has 8 unbalanced in/outputs with the first two doubled with preamps (€444) while the second has ADAT lightpipe and 8 balanced I/O and 8 preamps (+/- €1,000)

Up to 4 cards in one system.

Why would you ditch the Q10 ?? It's supposed to be a rock solid audio card ???

the q10 is lovely, except that my system is a Dual processor which the q10 don't get along with

so my options are either to convert my DAW into a Single processor or get a new card

That MOTU 896HD that will ship this quarter seems to eb very cool... but will the firewire connection be sufficient?

I've seen a Motu 828 in action with a G4 powerbook recording 16tracks on two harddisks ... no problemos at all (24bit, 44kHz)

i love how all the inputs on the q10 have a preamps ( all you need is a mic)

btw how's the MOTU with Pcs
