For CEPro users:

How is this program at doing multi-track editing/recording?

I have CE2k right now, and am considering getting the studio package, but it only adds 4 track capabilities and from what I can tell does *not* allow recordng on more than 2 channels (even if you have hardware to support it). So then I thought maybe I should just get CEpro

Is it possible to record more than 2 channels simultaneously in CEPro?

Also, I've seen some programs that will do DSP effects (ie compression and such) "on-the-fly" as you record. This can be helpful for example in recording a bass drum.

From what I can tell CEPro does not do this. Have any of you found this to be a problem?

Just want to know how good the program is before I plunk $350 down on it.

Thanks!

jesus, yes. You can do all of that, and more....EXCEPT.. realtime effects are NOT in v1... only in v2, which is et-to-be-released.

hmmm..
ok

do you know approx when v2 will be available?

thx

The official word from Syntrillium is 'early in 2002'. That could mean any time before June.

Pssssst...If you know where to look, you can get it NOW! (Wink)

Ok, im outta here.....

FenderSTRAT is most likely referring to a leaked version...though it would be illegal to have it...a lot of betas etc when going out in the test phases are often leaked unintentionally (someone gets it who should not have it yet lol)...
