Multi track program

So I want to get a new multi track program. I have a very old copy of vegas and would like something newer. I want something similar but with mix automation (my vegas doesn't have it). I dont want to pirite the program so I was hoping that someone might have an older legitimite program that they would like to sell. I dont have a lot of money on account of college and stuff so I thought maybe some one would have an older version of like cubase or vegas or whatever.
