I've been using CoolEdit Pro for a few years now (currently using 2.0). I am a DJ and I use it to make live mix cds. So i'm only good with using the single track view. Then I just trim the mixes down, number the tracks and burn the cds.
I am to start doing multi-track mixing but I can't figure out how to move the different waves to line up. For instance, I use the single view to record a song and then i'll move it in the multi-track view. Then I'll open a new single view window and record another track (that same bpm as the previous track). i move the that track into multi-track view and it will take up slot 2. once it's there, i can't get the wave to move to the point I want it to start. I want to layer a bunch of tracks (that are the bpm) and then mix them down. However, all the tracks start at the beginning of the wave, which is not what I want them to do. I went them to start staggardly. Does this make sense? Can anyone help?
