Hi.
I am using cakewalk pro 9 on win2K with a SBLive Value.
I'm looking to invest in a multioutput (8 would be nice) soundcard with multiple inputs (at least 4) as well and midi connectivity that supports SoundFonts. Any recommendations?
Thanks.
scott.
I operate a 2 person midi band and do home recording (midi/digital audio).

Hmmm, I am a bit confused here.
Why do you need a card that supports Soundfonts if you already have one that does??
I have a Darla24 for recording. and a Soundblaster Live for Soundfonts( which I hardly ever use). They run together just fine. I learned this here, btw!!

I dont think you need what you think you need. Maybe some of the experts will chime in here.

What I'm want to do is be able to output the midi drums through 4 lines, bass thru 1 and a few more for synth. This is so I can mix with an outboard mixer at the gig. I don't want everything coming out 1 line.
thanks.

That still works with DavidK's sollution. You just use the Live! for drums, and whatever soundcard you select (multi in/out) for the rest...

I've never heard of a multi I/O card with SF-support, but then again I've never really looked for it either...

Upgrade to Sonar. It comes with a DXi softsynth called LiveSynth. It lets you load and play SoundFonts on any sound card.
