Multi-Effects Unit??

Hey, one more question. I am doing some comparitive shopping for a multi-effects unit. Every one keeps saying to stay away from Alesis and go with Lexicon. So I have been looking at the Lexicon MXP200 or the MXP500. How do you all like these units for effects. Will be using it on vocals and guitar mostly. What other units could you suggest for around the 300-250 range.

If you use the Search facility here you should find plenty of posts discussing the relative merits of Lexicon, Alesis and Yamaha etc. There's been quite a few recently.

I more or less asked this question myself a few weeks ago. Bruce Blue Bear suggested trying the Lexicon LXP1. So I bought one - £110. It's ten years old and only 16 bit but I'm pleased with it so far.
 
Multi-effects

I have used and still use a lot of Digitech equipment. Sound them out. Personally. I haven't had any grief with their product.
There is one unit I'm curious about but haven't been able to locate one.
It's called "Mr. Rack"
...anyone???
