Well crap!! Didnt know you had to be a member there to DL now. Let me find somewhere else to post.

Funny thing to is, I would never normally use a SD mic for vox. Didnt sound half bad to me.

Nice full sound.
How did you record it.
Did you do the guitar first then the vox or is it all done live?

Thanks man. I did not record those 2 tracks at the same time. Glad you liked it. MS is the man!

Sounds very full and realistic. What was the mic positioning for the voice? For the guitar? Pre used?

Tim

Guitar sounds good, vocals sound pretty good too. Did you add any effects to the guitar afterwards? (doesn't sound like it) How did you mic the guitar?

Sounds like a good microphone.

Tim, I was about 8-12" away for both takes. I ran the mics into a Phoenix Audio Preamp, and than to my Fireface.

Solo,

No effects on the guitar. My room isnt ideal for omni mics, so it can be heard. Mic was 12" away at the 12th fret, pretty standard. Did need to cut -3db at 100, was a bit to boomy.

LOL. That says it all I guess. If you'd like what I consider the cons of this mic. I cant see using them on any "quiet" source. Like most inexpensive SD condensors, the self noise is rather high. Still a hell of a deal though.

Very nice, but indeed too much natural reverb, too bad these aren't cardiorides.

I guess I'm gonna have to just on the bandwagon here too pretty soon. Am I the last one on HR.com that doesn't have a pair of these? Quite a racket MS has going here....good for him!
