Is the correct USB cable for the MR8 called a: USB A/B ??? I thought that the cable from our digital camera would work,,but the end that plugs into the MR8 is too small...Thanks...Also,,,have any of you had to return your MR8 unit, to the store from which you purchased it from??? If so did they give you a hassle for an exchange??? I have my receipt,box,etc..,,but I bought it from a chain store in a different state,,I have to exchange it at a store in my state because of a staic noise that emits from the effects level knob during a recording/mix....

noise

just a stab in the dark, but have you mixed down any of your music, or listened to it from anything besides the headphone outs, alot of the mr 8's have a flaw where the headphone outs get a nasty noise coming from them, usually turning the thing on and off fixes it, but if you have listened to it on other devices this wouldnt apply, just a thought....

that sucks that you are getting the runaround, would it be ok for me to ask you wich chain you are dealing with?

Dave...
I just recorded 4 tracks this past weekend using some percussion stuff along with my 5 yr old reciting "Old Mac Donald Had A Farm...." I threw some delay on the vocals from the MR8...The static came as I turned the effects min./max. knob...I exchanged the unit on Sat..But have yet to try it out...I transferred all 4 tracks to 7/8 on the MR8 and then to my p.c.....I have the demo version of Audacity and N-Tracks...But I cannot figure out how to edit/Mixdown/Master it...Maybe because I bounced the 4 tracks to 7/8 then into the p.c. instead of transferring 1 track at a time...The N-Tracks program only sees it as one track....I hope that I am making some sort of sense here...I really want to use the N-Tracks for Everything after laying down a simple recording on the MR8...Thanks,,

Mike

Also,,,No,,I have not heard any sort of noise through my phones in the MR8... :)

n track

transfer the tracks one at a time to your pc, then add effects and all and do your mixdown from there, you will be pleased with the results, you will find the effects not nearly as good from the mr 8 as you will get from the pc....

guitar center, just curious they just built a new one here in toledo, i will be wary of returnes just in case

I have wav manager, Audacity and N-Tracks (both demo's)...Would you be able to give me a quick walk-through via email??? Just a quick overview on how to use both or one of these programs efficiently??? I made the mistake of recording 4 tracks, bouncing to 7/8 then uploading to my p.c. the first time...Therefore I could not edit..I only had the 2 tracks..

ttracks

i did the same thing first time

go to audiominds.com, they have a great toutorial for n track even a sample song to download, then they walk you through step by step to create a great mix
