MR8 Non-verified media?

Any brave souls out there have good luck with non-verified CF cards and the MR8?


I found some Lexar cards at Target (the 4x is reported as not working and the 24x is recommended) but they were 12x.... right in the middle!

Also, Best Buy around me has an awful lot of PNY cards. Any luck with these?
 
There used to be a thread in this forum titled "CF cards user experience" or something similar. If you're thinking about buying a CF card, check out that thread first.

That was a great thread- too bad we can't make it sticky (if HomeRec even has sticky threads...)

IT sounds like the Simpletech is half the price of the Hagiwara and decent enough in terms of performance.
