I've never looked twice at it before, but doesn't the MR8 have a place for a midi cable to be plugged in to it?

Has anyone ever used it?

I wanted to try something.
I was going to try running the drum machine part (zoom RT323) through my Sans GT2, and the bass guitar programming on the drum machine through the GT2 also.
I can route these through seperate outs, but how do I sync them up later?
Presumably with a midi connection... right?

How complicated is this?
Anyone attempted anything similar?

Unfortunately it's a Midi Out only... :(

It works well for synching your click track with other outboard equipment, or with another deck... The MR8 has to be the MTC Master because of it's Midi Out only status...

Essentially, I run from it to the the Midi In on my VF 16 when I want to transfer more than two tracks between the decks... The Midi Time Code insures that all the tracks start and stop at the same time...

So IF the drum machine has midi in, will it not sync with the MR8 on a second track? (Say for instance, drums already tracked on MR8, then a second time to sync the programmed bass with the recorded drum track)

This is all new to me, bear with me :o :) !
