Hello everyone,

I was wondering what is the best way to get your music from to Mr-8 to a CD-R? I understand you can export the wav files to your computer but what then? Or is there a better way to do this at all? Also I usually bounce tracks 1-6 to 7-8 and covert them to wav. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks alot!

Andrew

After importing tracks to pc, you'll need mixing software to mix multiple tracks into a stereo wav for burning to cd. There are various ones out there depending on your budget. Power Tracks by Pro Audio is around $25.00 and gives great results. NTracks is another for around $50.00 and gets lots of praise in here. Fostex has a program called wav manager which will import tracks to pc and export back to mr8 via USB. This gives you as many tracks as your software provides and control over each track. Much better than what the mr8 can provide on its own. Though stand alone is still a good recorder with it's internal bouncing capabilities. Read past threads you will learn some useful info. Good luck Pj

cd r

you can make a cd right from the mr 8,its right in the manual, most peope around here use the usb port and wav manager from fostex, to get files to the pc. Then use mixing software. If you are using win 98, you will need to use a card reader instead
