Hi Folks........getting a 512 CF card for my new MR8..........now i notice that "fostex " is pretty selective in who they suggest........i have a feeling it is "selective endorsement $".........
example.........SanDisk swears there "ultra pro 512" will function in the MR 8 just fine.......and yet Fostex has left them off the list....
my question is......will the Sandisk ultra pro work.......???ids there someone else out there who has gone through this........i just need a bigger card for my longer songs........and i just transfer the files direct to my computer(without mixing down on the MR8) and then put it all together on the computer with Ntrak and sonari am new to all of this........so if i am asking a question that has been discussed to death ......i apologize and just asked to be steered in the right direction
thanks

cards

the problem with unconfirmed cards is they wont bounce down, if you are moving all tracks to computer then it wont matter, actually i have never needed a bigger card since i do move all tracks to the computer, mix a mono wav file to go back to the mr 8 as a go by, then add more tracks and repeat as necessary....

i dont think its about endorsments and money, many of the cards are large enough, but dont have enough processing speed....

I agree with Dave and I also move my tracks to the puter. I have my original 128MB CFC but also have 512MB CFC from SimpleTech just because I'm lazy and can have a little more leg room.

:)
