MR-8 supports phantom power?

but i want to make sure that it would work wit the MR-8. This mic requires phantom power...

You would need an external source of power, a pre amp, mixer, what have you, as it needs 48v, phantom, and the MR 8 has no way of supplying it. I also don't see any reference to using a battery, so you would need an external power source.

If you want an affordable MXL condenser mic and want to avoid getting a preamp, get this one instead -- it runs on a battery or 48V phantom power (which the MR-8 does NOT have):
