MR-8 Error Message 13

Brand new MR8 out of the box and when I turn it on I get a Compact Flash Message Error 13???? And it doesnt allow me to do anything else (Menu etc.).

pop out the card and see if it does something. I'll go look in the man tmw, maybe there's a reset...

Will it let you reformat the card, I think if you use an aftermarket cf, you have to update your version of software n the mr-8 or you will get the error 13 message, is this the card that came with the unit or another card?

Yes it is the factory supplied card. But I get the same message with other cards. Fostex said it is proably a bad unit.
