MPK49 Not working

I moved to a different apartment a few weeks ago. Packed up my MPK 49 in the original box, with packaging peanuts and bubble wrap. After I took it out to start my production back up, it is no longer coming on. The USB housing on the unit feels a little loose. I've tried the USB on different devices and those are getting power. Any idea on how I can get it fixed? Akai wants me to ship a 20+ pound unit to California. No thanks.

Try using a power supply and midi cables. Bypass the usb all together.

Unless you know how to repair it yourself, or know of someone who can do it, then sending it to CA is about your only option. Or you can do as the guy above me suggested. Good luck.
