Now I luv good fights ,so( LETS GETS READY TO RRRRUUUMMMMBBBLLEEE). Even though Im a ride till I die fan of AKAI. The mpc Just got a Title bout with emu's MP-7 ,and I can tell yaah. DON KING is representing the (MP-7) What do you think?

I think its tight

I was just about to get the proteus2k and try to wait it out for the mophatt card but they just both of them in one box and threw an sequencer on it I'm going to by it and sync it with my mpc2kxl unless its just that better than the mpc.....well I'm going to always keep the mpc...

Mis match.

Come on now, it ain't even out yet and yall wanna put it up against an MPC??? I bet it gets knocked out just like yamaha's RM1X.

naw

my point is I already have an mpc...and I wanted to get the proteus and the mo phatt...I'll make the mp-7 my travel box...and when I get ready to do the real track I'll take it to my studio and dump the midi track to the mpc and make all the changes I want.... :D

No. And it only saves the sequences to Flash.
Its a Groovebox, basically. Pitching it against an MPC is an insult tp the MPC. :)

Give me a break maaan
Now how many people do you Know use the sampler on the MPC to make bangin beats. GEt Real

cflow... anybody who uses the mpc uses the sampler. You need to get real...

well I don't use the sampler...I went about six months and didn't even load any kits in it...I use mine mosty for sequencing

Yo Trak
When you said if it can sample ,I thought you meant sampling your own sounds. Not the sounds pre-sampled to disk you get from other sources. The sampled sounds in the MP-7 combines the Proteus 2000 and the Mo Phatt soundset.
P.S. Regebro has no clue on what he's talking about as far as flash goes.

Ah, well, enlighten me, then. Nowhere in the specification does it mention that it has a floppy or anything else. It DOES say you can put in extre Flash memory. I ASSUME you can save something to it, becaus ethats what you do with Flash memory. If I'm incorrect, and in fact it can't save to Flash either, that actually would make the whole product suck. You NEED a way to backup your stuff.

The MP-7 is also a Flash sound module and they are way more dependable than hard-disk or cd-rom's Trust me. and the 3 extra slots are just for more memory . It's the same concept as the akai simm memory expansion slots..

Flash memory makes it wack as hell. Since it doesn't require a lot of memory to save sh*t they should have gone with the more standard floppy.

Korg Trinity and a few drum kits I stole from a studio

I can f*ck with the drums on the trinity yo... they just don't sound right to me for doin hip-hop jointz. I did some pop jointz with trinity drums though, those came out tight. Don't get it twisted though, I ain't proud of pop jointz, but how else would I get new equipment?

Trak , they give you more memory slots so you can have all the space you need for sound as in your case for hip hop jointz ,pop jointz, and the way you sound even your country Jointz.

My point is that you won't be saving the actual sounds so you won't need all that space just to save sequence information.

And if Wyclef can do a country joint then sh*t I might do one my damn self one day. Just don't hold your breath...
