.mp3 to VF160

i friend of mine is sending mp3 files of his guitar tracks to me online. how can i get these onto the VF160 to track drums? i know the loading process with the machine. do i need to convert these files to .wav? or will they work as mp3s?

You will need to convert them to .wav files. Be sure the encoding is really high on the mp3 so that you don't lose too much sound quality converting them back.
