I am looking for help on how to change an MP3 file to a wav file. I believe I need to change my MP3s to wavs in order to record them from my hard drive to a CD, correct? I have Cool Edit 2000.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Actualy, maybe not. It depends on what CD burning software you use. I have EZ CD Creator 4 which will read and convert MP3's for me. What do you have for burning CD's? Check to see if it will read MP3's. Also, CE2K will read your MP3's right into the program, from there you should be able to save as a wave file as well.

Good luck.

Yeah, I think DS_Sultan is correct....I misread the post....thought you wanted encoder stuff............some of which will convert mp3's to wave, but some burning software will too if you wanna make cds......my mistake....gibs

What MP3 player do you have??

If you have Sonique, you can convert convert mp3s to wav files right there from your mp3 player. It's in the setup options.

Your kidding right? The post count=how many posts to the forum you have made. I believe the post count moves you up in the newbie, medium, expert yadda yadda yadda catagory.

You can download Musicmatch jukebox and it will rip them for you straight to cd also I think that the new window's media player 7 will do the same. I recomend staying away from winamp unless you want it to TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR MUSIC. Actually it works but is a little unrulely to set up and will not let you set it as other then your default player when you first download it and run it.

mapeterson, Real Player is the most invasive thing I've ever encountered.....It took me (because I'm not too bright,) a long time to get it out of my computer's system......I hate Real Player......a lot......I dig winamp.....a lot......gibs

(gibs) I too had problems with real jukebox it sucks. But I had the same problems with win amp as you stated with real jukebox. I did however get win amp to work after a several hours and it has been over a year since I tried it mabey the new one is better? Real jukebox I could never get to work and what the heck do you do with an extension called ra, or raw nota. The streaming audio never worked and also real jukebox is not on my recommending list as you see I would not recommend it to anyone it is not worth mentioning.
