I just upgraded from MC2003 to HS2004XL a couple of weeks ago.

Tonight I just tried to create MP3 files to burn to a CD and after I go through the Mixdown routine and do the File Export thing, iand I get an error message that it could not launch the MP3 application.

Now I understand that I am past the trial period and that I probably need to get a key because I never got one when I was using MC2003.

But...Shouldn't the screen come up telling me to input the key.

If you are burning to a CD, you are better off going exporting to a 16Bit, 44.1Khz files and buring them as audio tracks.. failing that you could just register the mp3 encoder (from Cakewalk), of if you have it, get an external editor such as Sound Forge.

If want to create an audio CD, then do what Porter said. Export as wav...

If you want to create MP3s, then look here! :)
