MP3~~~>CONVERT file to~~CD Quality. Will it sound "better"?

So you're asking,
if you take an mp3 convert it too a *.wav file at 16bit 44.1 khz will it sound better then it was as an mp3.

No...

If this were the case, audio files wouldn't be so large to transfer, everyone could cut them down to tiny files, then convert the back to waves! it'd be great! but It doesn't work like that.

After you've compressed it, you cant bring it back.

It's kinda like a dried apricot. You can put it in water and it will swell up and turn soft again, but it will never taste the way it did before it was dried.

Anyway I hate apricots

Thanks guys. Every once in a while, I gets confused on dumbass shite. Thanks ---Lee

what about cd duplicators whose site says to send them your mp3's, and they will convert them to wav files and put them on a disk? I believe this is how the new musicians friend duplication works.

No, the WAV files that these services make out of your MP3s have nothing magical about them. If the songs have been compressed by encoding to MP3, something is lost, and it cannot be reconstituted.

they do that for artists that don't know any better. please, don't do that. upload WAVS to them, or send them a your audio cd. mp3s = sound like trash forever. haha.
