Ok so Im in the process of making a song, but I need to be able to move more than one file down to different tracks, but I want them to be all in the same sequence and perfectly matched up, soo how can you drag multiple clips at one time? any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks
Ryan

- Mark the tracks by ctrl + drag a window around them.
- Group the tracks (shortcut: ctrl+G).
- Drag them to the wanted location with the left mouse button.
(If you dont want them to be moved in the timeline you can time-lock the tracks: mark the tracks, edit|lock in time)

Yeah, before you start dragging tracks anywhere, learn how to use this:

Edit>Select All Blocks>Lock in Time

It keeps all the tracks lined up correctly in relation to each other.

Ok thanks, but when I do this it like makes a copy and so the original postion of the clips are still there, and so are the new location of the clips... does that make sense? haha.

Not a lot of sense, no. If you click on Edit>Select All Blocks>Lock in Time, you won't get copies of tracks, you'll just lock the existing blocks into the right time frame.

Then, if you want to do that drag tracks around thing you're interested in, you have to do this: Select All Blocks>Group Blocks. Then right click anywhere on any track and drag the whole mess anywhere you want.

... and if you press ctrl or shift while dragging you will get a copy.

That's right. And that's probably where all his trouble started originally LOL.

Hey Chevelle, got that? LOL
