Hello,
Does anyone have any information on how to sync a Tascam MSR-16 (analog multitrack recorder) and a computer using a Digital Timepiece?
I have installed Clockworks. I striped SMPTE to the MSR-16 and when I play back the tape I am able to get all of the "sync lights" to illuminate within Clockworks (output/input phase lock, etc.). However, if I try to use the sequencer in Cool Edit Pro 2.0, it tells me the MIDI port is in use. If I close Clockworks, and do everything from the front-panel of the Digital Timepiece, I still can't get Cool Edit to respond to the sync. I have also tried this in N-Track and had the exact same results.
Does anybody have any information on how to fix this? I emailed MOTU tech support on Monday but still haven't heard back from them.
