Hi Everyone,
This is my first post here...and I'm pretty interested to hear the feedback.
I'm getting ready to put together a home studio and I seem to be torn between the MOTU 828 (with Firewire) and the Digi001. Has anyone had exposure to both (or either one)...and can make a comparison for me? This is my first venture into the digital audio recording world...so I'm particularly interested in ease of use, scalability, learning curve, potential hang-ups, etc.
I currently have a PIII 660MHz - 256 MB RAM PC. I've been told that Macs are the way to go for digital recording. If that's so...what is the minimum Mac I should get? Or...can I stick with what I have now without worrying about whether I'm going to have pops or clicks in my recordings?
Looking forward to hearing from you guys!!!
