MOTU 828 monitors

Can the Motu 828 power two monitors plugged into the 2 outputs on the back, or does it require a power amplifier?

has anyone tried this out. If so can you give me an idea of what kind of speakers you used

the main outs on the 828 must go to either a power amp or powered speakers.

for example these are affordable, but are they total crap
