Motu 2408

Guys

I'm considering setting up a harddisk recording system and have seen the Motu2408 mk11 for fairly cheap on ebay and has the needed I/O for my uses.

The PC I have is Dual 1gig Pentium 3 with 1gb of RAM and 160gig harddrive.
I'm gonna take the direct outs into the motu from my Allen and Heath desk

Can anyone advise of the pro's and cons of the set up im using and opinions / alternatives to the motu

Not completely correct. 24 digital inputs in either ADAT (3 banks of Lightpipe in and out) and Tascam (3 banks of TDIF), 8 analog ins and outs and S/PDIF on coax in and out.
