hey guys...I'm currently going to purchase a P2 550mhz, Maxtor 10GB and 128 SDRAM...I am goin to do some light recording and midi...I will be using CWP 9 and I wud like a mother board recommendation...my computer store offered these: ASUS P3v-133, ASUS P3v-4x and an MSI BX master. I don't know anything about motherboards so cud u guys help me out? I will be recording vocals only on the computer since I will do sequencing on CWP 9. Maybe a drum machine every now and then but that's about it. Music is just a hobby for me and every now and then I cut demo's to feature on underground mix tapes. My PC is not a dedicated DAW. I heard that some motherboards can be customized so that the I/O's can be placed in the front for easy access??? can u guys help me out???

tnx in advance

I would get an Intel BX chipset based motherboard, even though this chipset is a couple of years old it is still very solid and EVERYTHING works with it. I use the Abit BE6-II board which cost me about $115, has an ATA 66 controller built into it and can be overclocked to support up to 200 mHz buss. Excellent board.
