Dude, you are obviously happy with your current board, stick with it man. When the time comes to upgrade your Proc and everything else then look for a new board.

only Im not. It doesnt boot cold. Only warm. a pain in my ass. I THINK its cuz its running an unsupported processor.. but it could be the thousands and thousands of hours of time it has performed faithfully ;). I want a new board, with better performance.. and I cant see the need to upgrade my processor for a couple years.. considering how long I had my last one!

Hmm.....odd. Does it power up on a cold boot? Describe your issue a little more, I may be able to help.

excellent.

Its been a progessively worsening problem... starting after I a)updated the bios from v1009 to v1013a .. and b) put a celly 800 in (unsupported, I know.)

what it does is this: I click the power on, and the drives all power up, but no 'beep', and no video.... if I then RESET.. it comes on normal. It used to only take one restet.. now I need two or three. HOWEVER.. if its warm still... and, say, I accidentally turn it off.. It'll fire up just fine.

hmmm.....

xoox

I had that same problem with an older computer when I tried running it at 133fsb. While the motherboard supported it, the combination of the proc and mobo was not happy with one another.

Anyways, it COULD be your power supply cauing these problems, but I bet if you put a supported proc in that motherboard you would cure your problems.

Other than doing that your other option would be infact buying a new motherboard.
