Analog X has a free DX plugin called Vocal Remover. Just insert it across the stereo bus of the outputs you are using from Sonar, and watch it do it's little Karaoke Thang!

BTW it will also remove anything else thats panned center of the stereo image, Kick, Bass Guitar, along with the Vocals.

And any Reverb, unless it is mono, panned center, will also still be audible, along with artifacts of the original vocalist!

It works best on music with a dry, dead center lead vocal, and everything else stereo. (Example, two L-R acoustic guitars and percussion would come out great.)

To sum things up, you ain't gonna like the results. If you're looking for something to remove just the vocal and leave you a nice, clean backing track to sing over, the AnalogX thing (or anything else, for that matter), isn't going to do it. I personally don't care how much they push this stuff in their ads, you just can't pick and choose what you want to leave or remove from a stereo track. Period. ;)

I agree with GeetarEd. It would be the holy grail of music software.:) So no can do, dumass.

Well, you can. But only if you have the full song and a backing tape (the song minus the vocals). And the results won't be any good either...
