I just bought a Maxtop server case for $80, and I'm guessing the 120mm CPU fan isn't the quietest, any reccomendations? Should I undervolt it -5 as well?

The Panansonic FBA12G12L1A is generally regarded as the quietest 120mm fan that money can buy with a decent flowrate. Whether or not this is true is debatable, as some other fan manufacturers have quiet models as well.

In any case, presuming that the flowrate on this fan is adequate for your needs, it certainly will be quiet.

Another option, for even lower noise (and unfortunately subsequent flowrate) is to purchase an FBA12G24L1A and run it at 12 volts.

Interesting little bit of information, though I do wish they had the L1A's tested. The manufacturer spec on the L1A is vastly superior to any of the 120mm fans tested there, so it'd be good to have equivalent measurements to compare.

I put Panaflo fans in all my clients' machines. They are very quiet, smooth running, and last significantly longer than sleeve or ball bearing types.

The 120mm have an added advantage of moving more air at a slower RPM with less noise.
