(if you don't have these things rock solid, may as well not go on IMO)

3. First line (need to grab listener's attention)
4. Line that leads in to the chorus in each verse/bridge (important both melodically and lyrically to set up the chorus and create excitement for it...also important to make sure the transition to the chorus makes sense)
