Look Mom, I can play!
I would like to know how you can morph one sound, say a human voice, into say, a Lead guitar. Is this possible in Sonar, what additional tools would you need?

Using the volume evelopes you can crossfade the transition.

Hmmm.....thanks for the feedback, I've been messing about with the volume envelopes all morning but I guess I was looking for something a little more complex. Perhaps I am looking to modulate one instrument with another. Maybe the VoxBox from MU might help, but I wanted something for free:rolleyes: Acid, is the rumour true that the reason that you are not going for the wireless k/b is so that you can save your $$$'s to buy another guitar?:p

Thanks Moskus. Do you know where I can get one from?:)

Here's one. http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/audio/vocoder.htm

I would create duplicate vocal and guitar tracks and run theses through the vocoder. Fade the straight vocal into the vocoded vocal, vocoded vocal fades into vocoded guitar, then vocoded guitar fades in to straight guitar. Play with the levels to control the amount of "unnaturalness" you want during the transition.

Oh, I forgot to mention, though it might be obvious, that you can probably get a very slick transition by using the guitar to vocode the vocal and using the vocal to vocode the guitar.
